Il y a ... (euh,  j'ose même pas vous dire combien de temps... j'ai trop honte...) un certain temps, ma soeur a offert à mon fils (et là, vous commencez à comprendre que ça doit vraiment faire très longtemps...) une superbe toise, toute brodée de sa main. Il fallait juste que je fasse les ourlets, et que je la monte. Facile, bien sur, mais c'est sans compter le millier de choses que j'ai sur ma liste des "trucs-à-faire-en-urgence"... Et donc j'ai retardé, retardé, retardé... tant et si bien, que maintenant que je l'ai enfin finie, cette superbe toise, elle ne peut plus aller que dans la chambre de ma fille !!! Mais je me rassure en voyant à quel point Emilie est heureuse de la voir accrochée sur son mur.

Alors mieux vaut tard que jamais: merci beaucoup Tatie Talie pour cette magnifique toise ;)

Hummm... Let's say ages ago (I can't bring myself to telling you how long ago... I'm too ashamed...), my sister gave my son (now you begin to realise the extent of the "ages ago") a beautiful height chart, all hand-stitched. Alls I had to do was hem it and mount it for display. Easy enough, of course, but problematic when you take into account the thousand and one things I've got on my "urgent-list-of-things-to-be-done-yesterday"... So I put it off, and put it off some more... until now. And now, there is absolutely no choice but to put it in my daughter's bedroom!!! Was makes me feel a little less guilty is Emilie's obvious happiness whenever she glances at it on her wall.

So, better later than never: thank you very much, Auntie Nathalie, for this beautiful chart ;)

Comme je vous le disais il y a quelques jours, je continue ma petite collection autour du thème "Don't let the weeds grow around your dreams", et voici le petit sac qui va me servir de poubelle à fils. Comme le tout est destiné à aller sur mon cadre à broder, j'ai décidé de séparer le sac du coussin (qui sera d'ailleurs un biscornu). A suivre...

As I mentioned it a few days ago, I'm still working on my "Don't let the weeds" collection. Here's the little bag that I'll be using as an ortbag. Because it's all meant to fit on my stitching frame, I decided to separate the bag from the pin cushion (which will actually be a biscornu).
